SMU Football Players Call Cops To Report Burglary By Prostitute!!

So a few SMU football players thought it would be a great idea to invite a prostitute over to their pad, have her perform her 'services', then deny her payment for those 'services' which they had already agreed to pay.  Well, they left her at their place (super smart move) and went to SMU's end of the year banquet, only to come back with over $3000 of their stuff stolen. Laptops, video games, and televisions were amongst the items stolen.  I'm trying to figure out at what point do you stop slapping yourself and realize: 'I actually have to call the cops now'....sounds like a scene from dumb and dumber.

Tennessee Titans Wide Receiver O.J. Murdock Found Dead

Very sad news coming out of Tampa today as O.J. Murdock, a reserve wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans has been found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The report via Yardbarker states Murdock's body was found in front of his old high school in Tampa, Florida where he ran track and played football until he graduate in 2006.  Murdock hadn't reported to camp yet this year for what was listed as personal reasons.  He had missed all of last year due to personal reasons.  Very disheartening news heading into the NFL season.

Olympic Officials Hatin' On Ryan Lotche's Grill

Ryan Lochte is a beast of a swimmer.  He's the next great hope in the pool after US swim team mate and fellow Olympian Michael Phelps.  Lochte won gold in the 400 meter individual medley as he defeated Phelps and the rest of the field.  Lochte has been known to celebrate with his medals around his neck while sporting his 'icy' custom platinum grill in his mouth after races.  According to ESPN's Wayne Drehs when he Lochte tried rocking his grill on the podium, an Olympic official told him that he wouldn't receive his medal if he did.  The Olympic officials must not have heard of SWAG!  Lotche wearing a grill after races isn't anything new as he has numerous photos over the years of him with it in.  Sucks he got tired and lost the lead and they had to settle for silver in the 4x100 meter relays.  Lotche's the man, cool dude, and a #Gator! U.S. Women's Soccer Player Abby Wambach Gets Whacked In The Face And Tweets The Aftermath Photo

The U.S. women's national soccer team played Colombia on Saturday and won 3-0.  The big story however was what appeared to be Abby Wambach getting punched in the eye by a player on the Colombia team while making a forward push towards the Colombia goal.  The refs didn't see the hit apparently because there was NO WAY that should have been a non call, let alone anything short of a red card.  I'm not 100% sure it was intentional, but it sure does look like it.  No sweat though because Abby eventually resumed play after laying on the ground in pain for a couple of minutes and even scored during the game.  Abby tweeted the above photo showing off her battle scar.  Peep the video below of Abby getting whacked!  She's a soldier, and now she has the bruise to prove it.  USA USA USA!!

Team USA's track star Lolo Jones has made a name for herself on the track as well as off the track, especially when she let the world know that she was a 29 year old virgin.  A media frenzy ensued to figure out who Lolo Jones was.  And several media outlets were quick to try and link her up with fellow Christian all American good boy Tim Tebow simply because of their strong religious faith and virgin proclamations.  She's been in even more controversy for yet another tweet when she insinuated that the US would do better at the gun shooting competition when she tweeted "USA Men's Archery lost the gold medal to Italy but that's ok, we are Americans... Derek Jeter's Ex Minka Kelly Sex Tape Being Shopped...Rumored To Be Underaged In The Video

Instead of talking about Ichiro's Yankees debut, everyone's talking about Ichiro's teammate Derek Jeter's ex girl Minka Kelly.  Kelly is reported to be involved in a sex tape that was made some years ago, according to TMZ , in the 30 minute video, Minka and her then boyfriend had a tripod set up and hooked up to the tv so they could both watch the action.  The controversy is about the date of the video and whether or not Minka was underaged at the time the video was made.  Why is this sports news..? It's technically not besides the fact that she dated Derek Jeter before, its simply cuz she's hot and I'm willing to put up pics of her anytime.  Good thing Jeter's outta the picture so he can stand clear of the drama this is about to bring.

The Royal Family has announced the events which they'll attend this year at the London 2012 Olympics, this according to a report by Fox Sports.  Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, Prince Harry, William and his wife Kate will all be attending the opening ceremony where Queen Elizabeth will open the ceremony.  William, Kate and Harry are official ambassadors for the Great Britain team.  The Queen's grandaughter, Zara Philips is a competitor in the equestrian events.  Here's a video of Harry racing against Usain Bolt of Jamaica earlier this year on an official visit....

Jason Williams, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and a few other retired NBA stars are part of the US Pro Basketball Alumni Tour which takes them thru several countries in Asia.  Dennis Rodman even met his Dad after 42 years while on this tour.  Here's "white chocolate" Jason Williams pulling off a great pass which we all should remember from the NBA Rookie game in 2000.  What makes this "elbow pass" even more special is that Bulls legend Scottie Pippen was on the receiving end and threw it down without hesitation.  Peep the video below of J Dub pulling off the pass then and now!

Adrienne Broner is a world champion boxer.  After a 5th round TKO by Broner of Vicente Escobedo, he displayed some behaviour along the lines of stupid, funny, and stupid funny.  He's been compared to Floyd Mayweather in the ring and sometimes out of the ring.  He's flashy and flamboyant and borderline "ignant"!  I give it to Floyd, he's flashy, and he's the best fighter in my opinion pound for pound.  Here's Adrien after the victory fake proposing to his girl, only to ask her to brush his hair.  I mean, I understand the value of needing to keep your waves intact, but this dude seems more of a clown to me trying too hard to get attention.  Just happens to be a clown who can really fight.  

Rugby Player Sustains Concussion After Vicious Hit

So I'm still trying to figure out the rules of Rugby, but I do know the dudes are as big as NFL linebackers and hit just as hard, without pads! With that being said, the video above is from the Rugby National League in Australia, a player with the St. George Illawara, Dean Young, getting clobbered by South City Rabbitoh's Greg Inglis which almost resulted in a brawl.  Young experienced a concussion from the hit and Inglis is most likely going to be suspended.

NBA Hall Of Famer Dennis Rodman saw his dad, Philander, for the 1st time in over 42 years.  Philander  has stated that he has fathered 29 children by 16 different mothers! WOW!  Rodman was in the Phillipines for a charity basketball game with former NBA players when his dad, who has lived in the Phillipines for almost 50 years, requested to meet with "The Worm".  Rodman obliged and the 2 exchanged greetings before Rodman went on his way.  Rodman made this statement via the AP "I really, really felt good.  It's the beginning of something new".  Always loved the worm!  I still love the emotion Rodman put into his Hall Of Fame Speech:

Caster Semenya, the female track star from South Africa will be carrying around her nation's flag at the opening ceremony in London for the Olympics.  Semenya was forced to pull out of the 2008 Beijing Games due to many questiong her gender because of her strong features.  She didn't compete for 11 months while the Internation Association of Athletics Federation ran gender tests on her, which proved that she's 100% female after which she was cleared to run again in 2010.  Good luck to her!

Nadal Pulling Out Of London 2012 Olympics

Rafael Nadal has been bothered by tendinitis in his knee and won't be able to compete in the London 2012 Olympics.  Nadal, who won gold at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 said "I do not find myself in a condition to compete. It is one of the saddest moments of my career." Guess this means its down to the Joker and Feds again!  My money's always on the GOAT! #TeamFederer

Sports Roenick was quoted as saying "I'm a Patriots fan," Roenick told me. "I grew up in Boston. I'm a big Patriots fan, a big Wes Welker fan, a big Tom Brady fan, So, being from that area, the Gronk is the next best thing to Jesus Christ, in my opinion. The last couple of months have been all about where Dwight Howard will end up after he repeated his desire to be traded from the Magic.  Although the Brooklyn Nets had been his preferred destination, that potential went downhill after the Nets re-signed Brook Lopez.  Now with the latest report from ESPN.com of a 3 team deal could help the Lakers land Howard.  And reports via REAL GM say that Howard is "excited" about the potential trade to L.A. and is willing to sign an extension with the Lakers!  I hope he gets traded to the Bobcats! LOL!!!  If he did say that he wants to sign the extension it's probably cuz he doesn't want Kobe doing this to him ever again:

Here's the picture of Jason Kidd's Cadillac Escalade stemming from the accident he had over the weekend in the Hamptons.  I'm surprised he didn't suffer any major injuries judging from the looks of the truck!  I'm not the only one, according to New York Daily News an NYPD officer was quoted as saying "That's really his car? Wow?....I can't believe Jason Kidd actually survived that.  When I see an accident that bad, I expect at least serious injury, if not death."

Another young athlete, another arrest.  File this under: And Another One!  According to CBS Sports Dez Bryant who has had his share of legal troubles since joining the NFL was reportedly arrested for shoving his mother during an argument with his half-brother.  Not a good sign for a young athlete trying to rid himself of the negative press he's received because he can't seem to stay out of trouble.  You know when Deion Sanders decides he can't mentor you, that's a sign.  Hope he learns soon that NFL stands for Not For Long!

Jason Kidd Off To A Rough Start In New York!!

So chances are you've heard about Jason Kidd's DWI arrest while leaving a charity function in the Hamptons this past weekend.  Well if you haven't, it goes like this, Kidd got hammered and had to be carried out of a party by friends who tried to convince him not to drive home.  He did anyway, and ran into a tree.  Luckily for Kidd he only suffered minor injuries.
