Paul George Has 2 Sick Dunks In China As LeBron Watches

The Indiana Pacers had a very good season last year.  They took the eventual NBA Champs to 6 games in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.  A big part of that was the rise of 2nd year small forward Paul George.   George also participated in the last season's Slam Dunk competition and even though he pulled off this sick glow in the dark dunk he got robbed by the judges and lost to Jeremy Evans.  Here's Paul at the Nike Festival Of Sport event in China showing us his bunnies.  After his 2nd dunk which was a dunk I'd never seen pulled off before, LeBron tweeted "The homie @King24George got crazy bounce. Just saw him reverse 360 b/t the legs windmill at the Nike FOS in Shanghai. No warmup #sick"......Sick indeed.

LeBron Gets Booed As His Foundation Is Honored In Akron

LeBron James, or King James as he calls himself is no stranger to being booed on the court....off the court in his hometown of Akron it's not much different because the people still love to hate on him since he made "The Decision".  LeBron was in Akron a few days ago for the first anniversary of his Wheels For Education foundation.  As he was being honored at the Akron Aeros stadium, he was greeted to a chorus of boos. Sick Video: Portland Trailblazers Rookie Will Barton Goes Off In Pro Am Game With 72 Points

Will Barton is a Baltimore native and now rookie of the Portland Trailblazers.  He was a very good player in high school and in college.  Good enough to score 72 points tho....NO.  However, if you're playing in a summer league type atmosphere anything can happen.  Will put on a display a couple of days ago in Baltimore, Maryland for an Under Armor Pro-Am game.  I know the stats don't count, but still he has sick moves, if only he can be a quarter as good in the league, then the Blazers are on to something.

Michael Jordan Believes Dream Team Is Smarter Than Current Team USA

Michael Jordan has voiced his opinion again on the Dream Team vs. 2012 Team USA debate, according to a USA Today article MJ was quoted as saying "Kobe thought we were a little old, but only two players were over 30....One thing 2012 lacked was size".  He goes on to say "We were much more solid defensively...they only had one shot blocker."  He summed up his view on the debate with "debates won't end because we will never know...the only way it'll end is if we lace them up in 2012, and I don't think that will happen."  It's MJ, greatest athlete in the history of sports, don't care to argue, he's the GOAT.  Watch this great video of the Dream Team in Barcelona 1992.

In the NOT SO BREAKING NEWS department, Dwight Howard has reportedly been sent to the L.A. Lakers in a 4 team deal that will send Howard, Earl Clark and Chris Duhon to the Lakers, wtih the Nuggets getting Andre Iguodala, the 76ers receiving Jason Richardson and Andrew Bynum, and the Magic receiving Nikola Vucivie, Arron Afflalo and a protected future first-round pick from each team.  Dwight is still rumored to not be willing to sign an extension in order to test the free agent market next year.  This makes the Lakers the automatic favourite to win the championship over the Heat.  Mitch Kupchak is the man, that's really what all this means.  For a guy who doesn't want to be in Shaq's shadow his entire career it's sure panning out that way.  Games at the Amway in Orlando will never be the same, it will be hard for me to cheer on Dwight as a Laker but he is the best center in the world currently.  Peep sick highlights of Dwight throwing down on everybody:

LOL Video: Leandro Barbosa Crosses Andres Nocioni

The theme of this year's Olympic Men's Basketball has been "if you guard me 1 on 1, you will get crossed"...for the third time in the last week, an NBA player has been crossed up badly.  This time the victim was the ex NBA Forward Andres Nocioni getting shook by Indiana Paces and starting Point Guard for Brazil's national team Leandro Barbosa.  I think Nocioni made Deron Williams and James Harden look good...maybe that's why he's now out of the league.  Sheesh....

 

Not Again! Deron Williams Gets Crossed By Argentine PG & Teammates Laugh

Last week it was James Harden who got crossed real nasty by Tony Skinn of Nigeria.  Harden tweeted to J.R. Smith saying "combination of floor and shoes. He didn't cross me tho lol".  Well now here's Deron Williams doing the splits in the same spot after getting rocked by an Argentinian player during last night's game in which the U.S. won 126-97.  Watch the video of Lebron and KD laughing at D. As great as last night's game was for Team USA in their 83 point beating of Nigeria in men's basketball, I'm sure I wasn't the only one who saw Nigeria's Tony Skinn with this gross cross on James Harden!  Had to find one HIGHlight for the Nigerians.

Jason Williams aka White Chocolate Pulls Off Elbow Pass To Scottie Pippen

Jason Williams, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and a few other retired NBA stars are part of the US Pro Basketball Alumni Tour which takes them thru several countries in Asia.  Dennis Rodman even met his Dad after 42 years while on this tour.  Here's "white chocolate" Jason Williams pulling off a great pass which we all should remember from the NBA Rookie game in 2000.  What makes this "elbow pass" even more special is that Bulls legend Scottie Pippen was on the receiving end and threw it down without hesitation.  Peep the video below of J Dub pulling off the pass then and now!

Here are the highlights from team USA's demolishing if Great Britain in an Olympic exhibition game.  Camelo and Deron Williams led team USA with 19 points.  Lebron had 16 points to help beat a British team that featured fellow NBAers Luol Deng (Chicago Bulls) Joel Freeland (Portland Trailblazers).

Dennis Rodman's Dad Meets Him For The First Time In 42 Years....Has 29 Children!

NBA Hall Of Famer Dennis Rodman saw his dad, Philander, for the 1st time in over 42 years.  Philander  has stated that he has fathered 29 children by 16 different mothers! WOW!  Rodman was in the Phillipines for a charity basketball game with former NBA players when his dad, who has lived in the Phillipines for almost 50 years, requested to meet with "The Worm".  Rodman obliged and the 2 exchanged greetings before Rodman went on his way.  Rodman made this statement via the AP "I really, really felt good.  It's the beginning of something new".  Always loved the worm!  I still love the emotion Rodman put into his Hall Of Fame Speech:

Dwight Howard To Sign Extension If Traded to Lakers????

The last couple of months have been all about where Dwight Howard will end up after he repeated his desire to be traded from the Magic.  Although the Brooklyn Nets had been his preferred destination, that potential went downhill after the Nets re-signed Brook Lopez.  Now with the latest report from ESPN.com of a 3 team deal could help the Lakers land Howard.  And reports via REAL GM say that Howard is "excited" about the potential trade to L.A. and is willing to sign an extension with the Lakers!  I hope he gets traded to the Bobcats! LOL!!!  If he did say that he wants to sign the extension it's probably cuz he doesn't want Kobe doing this to him ever again: 

Jason Kidd's Car Post-Accident

Do I look wasted?

Here's the picture of Jason Kidd's Cadillac Escalade stemming from the accident he had over the weekend in the Hamptons.  I'm surprised he didn't suffer any major injuries judging from the looks of the truck!  I'm not the only one, according to New York Daily News an NYPD officer was quoted as saying "That's really his car? Wow?....I can't believe Jason Kidd actually survived that.  When I see an accident that bad, I expect at least serious injury, if not death."

Dirk Nowitzki Ties The Knot in KENYA

Big ups to Dirk Nowitzki on tying the knot with his longtime girlfriend Jessica Olson. According to News Time Africa Dirk and Olson, who's of Swedish and Kenyan descent had one of what is to be 2 wedding ceremonies, one for her mother's family in Kenya, and the other for Dirk's peeps in Germany!  This is good news considering what happened in Dirk's last relationship!
